Local anesthesia is always used to numb the treatment area. Once numbed, a small incision is made in the gum to expose the bone. A space is then created using specialized tools, and the titanium implant is carefully positioned. Sometimes the implant remains visible; other times, it is covered during healing.

Healing After Dental Implant Surgery
